Assam SCERT D.EL.Ed PET Oerview
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam is the State academic authority for School education, Teacher Training and Curriculum design. Assam SCERT conducts Pre-Entry Test (PET) every year for admission into the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed) course. The PET exam was held on 12th July, 2026. The Assam SCERT released the PET result on 27th July 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification:
1. The applicants must possess a Higher Secondary (HS) 10+2 from any recognized Board/Council with at least 50% marks in aggregate, excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.
2. The applicants belonging to the SC/ST(P)/ST (H) category there will be relaxation of 5% of marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.
Age Limit:
1. The applicant's age must not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years as of 1st July, 2026.
2. The age relaxation is applicable as mentioned in the Reservation Policy.
Exam Pattern
1. Exam Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
2. Type of Question: Objective (MCQs)
3. Duration of Exam: 2 hours
4. Total number of questions: 100 questions
5. Total marks: 100
6. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
7. Date of Exam: 12th July, 2026.
