DWCD focuses on nurturing women and child through schemes like ICDS, Mission POSHAN 2.0 and Mission Vatsalya. It improves nutrition, health and education via Anganwadi centres and ensures women's empowerment and safety through policies against trafficking. Sakhi One-Stop Centre (OSC) are government-supported facility in India providing integrated, one-roof support for women facing violence (domestic, sexual, emotional, economic) through police facilitation, medical aid, psycho-social counselling, legal aid, and temporary shelter, aiming to offer immediate and emergency assistance regardless of age, class, or background. OSCs provide guidance on legal rights and process, offer emotional and psychological support and also provide a safe place for women in crisis.

1. For the Post of Counsellor

Educational Qualification:

i) Any woman having a Graduate with a Degree/Diploma in Psychology/Psychiatry/Neurosciences with a background in the health sector.

ii) Applicants must possess at least 3 years of experience working within a Government or Non-Government health project at the district level. 

2. For the Post of Case Worker 

Educational Qualification: 

i) Any woman applicants having a Bachelor in Law/Social Work/Sociology/Social Science/Psychology are eligible to apply.

ii) Applicants must possess at least 3 years of experience working on woman related relevant domains in a Government or Non-Government project/project. 

iii) The applicant should be a resident of the local community so that local human resources and experts is utilized for effective functioning of the Centre.

Age Limit (as of 1st January, 2026):  Applicants' age must be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years.

Age Relaxation:

1. For SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates: 5 years.

2. For OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years.

3. For PwD candidates: 10 years.
