The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is India's Central Bank and an important body of the Indian Government. RBI takes full responsibility for regulating the country's banking system and currency, issuing banknotes, maintaining monetary stability, managing the payments system and implementing monetary policy to achieve price stability and economic growth of the country. The RBI has published a new job notification for Officers Grade B posts. The qualified applicants can apply for the posts and can gear up their careers in the banking sector. The online application will start from 10th September to 30th September, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification 

1. For Officers in Grade B (DR) - General Cadre: 

i) The applicants must possess a Graduation in any discipline/Equivalent Technical or Professional qualification with a minimum of 60% marks, and for SC/ST/PwBD is 50% marks.

OR

ii) The applicants must possess a Post Graduation in any discipline/Equivalent Technical or Professional qualification with a minimum 55% marks, and for SC/ST/PwBD, only a pass mark is required in the aggregate of all semesters years.

2. For Officers in Grade B (DR) - DEPR Cadre:

i) The applicants must possess an MA/MSc in Economics or MA/MSc in courses such as Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Development Economics and International Economics. 

OR

ii) The applicants must possess an MA/MSc in Finance or MA/MSc in courses such as Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International and Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance and Agricultural Business Finance. 

3. For Officers in Grade B (DR) - DSIM Cadre:

i) The applicants must possess a Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years or an equivalent grade/CGPA in Statistics/Mathematics/Mathematics Statistics/Applied Statistics/Quantitative Economics/Econometrics/Informatics or any other related branches of these areas from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute recognized by the Government/UGC/AICTE.

OR

ii) The applicants must possess a Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years or an equivalent grade/CGPA in Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Big Data Analytics or any other related branches of these areas from an Indian/Foreign University/Institute recognized by the Government/UGC/AICTE.

OR

iii) The applicants must possess a Four-year degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years or an equivalent grade/CGPA in Statistics/Mathematics/Mathematics Statistics/Applied Statistics/Quantitative Economics/Econometrics/Informatics/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Big Data Analytics or any other related branches of these areas from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute recognized by the Government/UGC/AICTE.

Age limit (as of September 01, 2025) -  

i) The candidate's age must be a minimum of 21 years and must not be more than 30 years of age as of September 01, 2025.

ii) Applicants must have been born not earlier than 2nd September, 1995 and not later than 1st September, 2024. 

iii) Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules mentioned in the advertisement. 

Application Fee:

i) For SC/ST/PwBD candidates - Rs. 100/- + 18% GST Intimation Charges only.

ii) For GEN/OBC/EWS candidates - Rs. 850/- + 18% GST Application fee including intimation charges.

iii) For Staff candidates - Nil

Exam Pattern

1. Exam mode: Online (CBT)

2. Stages Of Examination: Three Phase

i) Phase I and II - Online Written Examination.
