The  National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification of NTA University Grant Commission (UGC) National Entrance Test (NET) exam June 2025 for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor and admission to Ph. D. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website. The candidates are advised to go through the notification before applying online.

The NTA has been entrusted by University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for award of Junior Research Fellowship, Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D. The admission to Ph.D. programs is only in Indian Universities and Colleges.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Master degree from a recognized university in a relevant subject. 

2. Minimum 55% marks for General category candidates.

3. Minimum 50% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Transgender categories.

Age Limit:

1. Maximum age limit of 30 years for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

2. No age limit for Assistant Professor position. 

3. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Application Fee:

1. General Category: Rs. 1150/-

2. OBC-NCL/EWS - Rs. 600/-

3. SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender - Rs. 325/-
