The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released a recruitment notification for 45 Assistant Engineer (Civil) posts under Water Resources Department. Educational Qualification:
1. The Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by Government.
OR
The Candidate must have passed (Part A & B) of AMIE (India) in Civil Engineering if he/she had enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31 - 05 - 2013
2. The Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering must be a Regular course. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance mode of education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted .

Age Limit:
1. The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age
as of 01 - 01 - 2025.
2. The upper age limit is relaxable:
i) For SC/ST candidates - 5 years i.e. upto 43 years
ii) For OBC/MOBC candidates - 3 years i.e. upto 41 years
iii) For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 years as of 01 - 01 - 2025 for unreserved category, relaxable further by 3 (Three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
iv) Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR category of candidates as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October, 2015.
3. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class - X and Class - XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council where Age/Date of Birth (DOB) is clearly reflected.
Residency: The candidates must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Scale of Pay: Pay Scale + Grade Pay + Other allowances as admissible to the Assam State Government employees from time to time (per month).
1. Pay Scale - Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/-
2. Grade Pay - Rs. 12,700/-
3. Pay Band - 4
The Family Norms:
As per Govt. notification No. ABP. 69/2019/17, dated Dispur, the 6th November 2019, candidates have to submit a declaration regarding "The Small Family Norms" in Form at the time of applying for the post.
