The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is a central recruitment agency operating under the Ministry of Finance in the Government of India. IBPS conduct various bank exams to recruit candidates into the Public Sector Banks. 

The Institute of  Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is going to conduct an online examination for the upcoming Common Recruitment Process for the posts of Group A  and  Group B for Regional Rural Banks in November and December across India.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. Office Assistants (Multipurpose): 

i)  The candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

ii) The candidates should be proficient in the local language.

iii) Candidates must have working knowledge of Computer.

2. Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): 

i)  The candidates must have passed a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agriculture Engineering, Pisciculture, Agriculture Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy.

ii) The candidates should possess proficiency in the local language.

iii) Candidates must have working knowledge of Computer.

3. Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): The candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in  Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, AE, Pisciculture, AMC, IT, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

4. Officer Scale-II (IT): 

i) The candidates must have passed a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

ii) The candidates must be certified in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.

5. Officer Scale-II (CA): 

i) The candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University.

ii) The candidates should be a Certified Associate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

6. Officer Scale-II (Law): The candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized University with a 50% mark in aggregate.

7. Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager): The candidates must possess a Chartered Accountant or an an MBA in finance from a recognized University.

8. Officer Scale-II (Marketing Officer): The candidates must hold an MBA degree in Marketing from a recognized University.

9. Officer Scale-II (Agriculture Officer): The candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Dairy/Animal Husbandry/Forestry/Veterinary Science/Agricultural Engineering/Pisciculture from a recognized University.

10. Officer Scale-III: The candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in  Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, AMC, IT, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

Age Limit (as of 01-09-2025)

1. Form Group B (Office Assistant): Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years.

2. For Group A  (Scale I, II and III)

i)  For the post of Assistant Manager: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years.

ii) For the post of  Manager: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 32 years.

iii) For the post of Senior Manager: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years.

3. Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules mentioned in the advertisement.

Application Fee:

1. For Office Assistants (Multipurpose)

i) ST/SC/PwBD/ESM/DESM - Rs. 175/- (Inclusive of GST).

ii) For all other candidates - Rs. 850/- (Inclusive of GST).

2. For Officer (Scale I, II & III)

III. Duration of Exam:

1. For Office Assistants and Officer Scale I (Preliminary) - 45 minutes

2. For Office Assistants and Officer Scale I (Main) - 120 minutes

3. Single-level Examination (Objective)

i) For General Bank Officer (Officer Scale II ) - 120 minutes

ii) For Specialist Cadre ( Officer Scale II ) - 150 minutes

iii) For Officer Scale III - 120 minutes

IV. There will be a penalty of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

V. Interview: Applicable only for Post of Officers - Scale  I, II and III
