Assam Society for Social Audit Jobs Overview

The Assam Society for Social Audit (ASSA) is an independent Autonomous Body established with the purpose to work towards strengthening and deepening the Social Audit Process in Assam. The ASSA is the process where the final beneficiaries of any scheme, programme, policy or law are empowered to audit such schemes. The ASSA invites applications for 48 posts for various districts and block-level positions on a contractual basis. Qualified applicants can apply for the posts and advance their careers in the social development sector.

Salary:

1. Social Development Specialist - Rs. 50,000/-

2. State Audit Expert - Rs. 40,000/-

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Social Development Specialist

i) Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed MA in Sociology/Economics or MSW.

ii) Age Limit: Maximum age must be 45 years as of 01-01-2025.

iii) Experience: The candidates should have 5 years post-qualification working experience in relevant field.

iv) Engagement Status: The engagement is initially for 11 months under ASSA.

v) Placement: The engaged SDS will be placed in the State Headquarters of Assam Society for Social Audit, Assam.

2. State Audit Expert

i) Educational Qualification: The candidates must passed MA in Sociology/Economics or MSW.

ii) Age Limit: Maximum age must be 40 years as of 01-01-2025.

iii) Experience: The candidates should have 3 years post-qualification working experience in the relevant field. 

iv) Engagement Status: The engagement is initially for 11 months under ASSA.

v) Placement: The engaged SAE will be placed in the State Headquarters of Assam Society for Social Audit, Assam.

3. District Resource Person

i) Educational Qualification: The candidates must passed MA in Sociology/Economics or MSW. 

ii) Age Limit: Maximum age must be 38 years as of 01-01-2025.

iii) Experience: The candidates should have 3 years post-qualification working experience in the relevant field. 

iv) Engagement Status: The engagement is initially for 11 months under ASSA.

v) Placement: The engaged DRP will be placed in any of the vacant positions in the district and is transferable within the state of Assam.

4. IT Specialist

i) Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or Post Graduate degree in Computer Application from any recognized Central University/State University.

ii) Age Limit: Maximum age must be 38 years as of 01-01-2025.

iii) Experience: The candidates must be proficient in MIS, Software and database development, implementation and maintenance. 

iv) Engagement Status: The engagement is initially for 11 months under ASSA.

v) Placement: The post of IT Specialist will be placed in the State Headquarters of  ASSA, Assam.

5. Account Cum Office Assistant

i) Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree in the Commerce stream from any recognized Central/State University.

ii) Age Limit: Maximum age must be 38 years as of 01-01-2025.

iii) Experience: The candidates must have 5 years post-qualification working experience in the relevant field. 

iv) Engagement Status: The engagement is initially for 11 months under ASSA.

v) Placement: The engaged ACOA will be placed in the State Headquarters of Assam Society for Social Audit, Assam.

6. Block Resource Person

i) Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed a Graduation in any discipline.

ii) Age Limit: Maximum age must be 38 years as of 01-01-2025.

iii) Experience: The candidates must be able to work in any district of the State. He/She must have 1 year of experience working in any Government Department/Organization or a reputed civil society organization in Assam.

iv) Engagement Status: The engagement is initially for 11 months under RGSA project.

v) Placement: The engaged BRA  will be placed in any of the vacant position in the district and is transferable within the State of Assam.

How to Apply:

1. The candidates are required to Apply in the prescribed form through online mode only.

3. Documents to be uploaded-

Mode of Selection

The selection process will consist of Two Phases. 

1. Phase - I: Written test

Syllabus of the written test

i) Subject Knowledge - 50 marks

ii) General Knowledge - 25 marks

iii) General English - 25 marks

2. Phase - II:

i)  The 3 candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the written test again each vacancy. 

ii) The shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a Personal Interview to be held in Guwahati. 

iii) Total marks for the Personal Interview will be 20 marks.
